Our story, and we're sticking to it.

Huggable art; delightful décor; cool collectibles!

Greetings from Snooterville Junction, home of Snooter-doots™ - our whimsical, soft-sculptured, collectible toy/dolls inspired by nature; featuring fantasical vegetables, bugs, fish, birds, animals, food, and friendly monsters.

More than just toys, our mission is to inspire smiles, generate joy, and to look really cool on the couch as collectible stuffies or décor items.

Snooter-doots are entirely handcrafted. Their shell is hand-knit to shape from wool and other natural fibers, then wet-felted. After they are stuffed with fiberfill, we attach their signature wonky eyes by needle-felting. No two are alike. Each has personality with its own name and birthday, making them perfectly prepared for ‘adoption’. They are created in our home studio in Ocean Shores, WA, and marketed at art fairs and festivals, on-line via our website and Etsy, and through select retail outlets throughout the country.

Let me introduce myself. I'm "Mama Snooter", aka Gina McCauley. I have been crafting, in one form or another, most of my life. I learned to knit when I was seven years old. A neighbor gal had to teach me as my Mom was left-handed (I'm not) and we just couldn't connect. I sewed many of my own clothes in high school, and all of my daughter's clothes when she was a youngster. I enjoyed quilting for a period, but have always returned to knitting as my first crafting love.

I enjoyed working as a consultant to horticultural nursery/greenhouse growers in Western Washington for over 25 years, but my true passion was always to ‘make things’, so when I retired from horticulture, I focused on fiber arts full time. And, here we are, in the wonderful, whimsical world of Snooter-doots.
